Calcarver Christmas Edition
Twas the night before Christmas,
and all through the shop…
….the party was festive and unlikely to stop.
Sawdust not flying and wood still in tact,
with hopes the wee carvings would somehow be fact.
The carvers were feasting all sauced up and fed,
while visions of wood toys danced in their heads.
more than twenty!
Those carvers, so naughty,
relaxed for a while,
decked out in their finest
Christmas-card style.
Of food there was plenty,
and of guests,
more than twenty!
Like children they frolicked
and filled up their tummies,
All thanks to Kim A,
who makes everything YUMMY!
The dishes were gathered
and made disappeared,
as the time to give gifts
all of a sudden had neared…
The carvers all braced to fight off their foes,
Their guests all made safe
their fingers and toes.
They knew in their hearts what each other had planned…
To get the best gift…
… they would chop off your hand.
Each one told their guests,
“Be vicious, be rude,”
for if you are not,
you are sure to get screwed!”
Then like all good women,
soft spoken, less heard,
Mrs. Claus took a stand and she got the last word.
“Now Chipper, now burner, now turner, and birder,
on chiseller, on gouger,
on v gouge and dremel!
Put down your beer, there’s no time to stall!
Dash away! Dash away! Dash away all!
